Susan C. Klein is a 25-year resident of Anchorage Alaska. She began her career in Alaska as a librarian at the Anchorage Municipal Libraries in 1987. In 1991, Susan had the opportunity to return to school to pursue a degree in the sciences, originally to become a science librarian. After a few years of classes she realized she wanted to remain in the scientific field. Upon graduating she worked at the Alaska Natural Heritage Program as a ecologist and webmaster until 2008 when she retired.
